‘The City Shaped’ is an art and architecture project exploring the relationship between architecture and culture through the lens of five different cities. This project started in Melbourne and will travel to Berlin, Athens, Barcelona and Rome. The result will be a series of local exhibitions showcasing site-specific ceramic sculpture, designed and made in each city.

The first stage of this project, focusing on Melbourne, exhibited as part of the National Gallery of Victoria’s ‘Melbourne Design Week', in March, 2020. The exhibition presented a series of abstract ceramic sculptures, reinterpreting Melbourne’s city grid and the cultural activities that it generates. The work was both a series of cultural objects and an exploration of culture in the city.
